A diary entry to remember

Hello everyone!

I started my first diary, a Moleskine A6 notebook, on the 31st December 2008 and I wrote my last entry on the 1st of January 2016. Some years I only wrote a few times, some years I filled page after page with detailed descriptions of my day to day life.

In my last post I said, that I have one resolution that is the most important to me, and I wanted to make a whole post for it.

This is what I wrote about it in my  diary:

"I want to throw myself wholeheartedly into everything I do. Enjoy everything, from school to work to friends to blogging. I want to live in the moment and do everything to live it the best I can. I'm going to do everything with my whole energy and everything I have.

I want to be someone that my younger self would be honoured and proud to know. I want to have fun and succeed in everything I do. Let's make 2016 awesome.

I want to be a person that little kids look at and think: I want to be like her. That's what I want."

Lots of love,
Mia

  1. Mia, I love this post. First of all, diaries are amazing things and it's even more amazing that you have this one book documenting days from 2008 to 2016. I've never had one diary with so much information. And as for that excerpt, thank you for the piece of motivation I needed to actually make an effort. Lately I've been neglecting a lot of my activities and my job to honour laziness and school work, and I honestly have so much more energy than this that I can put into everything I do as well. I feel like I'm always thinking the way you are in your last little sentence, and now I reckon it's better to live a better life for yourself than because you want people to look up to you. It becomes a trap.

    1. Your comments are legit some of my favourites. Thank YOU for those. I'm glad I could help, and you know, we are so often trying to get ot of these parts in our life where we are not using our energy as much as we could. And I know that I am getting out of one of these phases atm.

  2. Yes! I totally agree! It's good to make concrete goals, but it's better to make goals that deal with how you approach life like this one. Being present and involved in what's going around you is extremely important.

Good luck! And also, I admire your journaling skills:P
